January Newsletter

The new year can bring hope to those who have had a rough past year. It can bring change and it can bring, well, the same old thing. Make it a year of growth and appreciation. Grow healthier mentally and physically.  Build positive relationships with others and take time to enjoy life for what it brings.  Always remember taking a step forward even a small one is progress and to keep moving forward.

At Academy of Aerial Fitness we help our students take leaps of faith in oneself, allowing them to become a healthier confident person. Start your fitness journey aerially and fly to new heights this new year. A great way to start and stay on course is to become a member. This helps encourage a more consistent attendance in classes and keeps you on track to achieve that New Year's fitness resolution. Our instructors are amazing at assisting you with goals great and small and keeping you motivated the whole year round.

Studio Updates

Pole Class Update

We have reorganized pole levels and the skills needed to for each level. Review over the prerequisites, which are posted in class description in the class schedule. If you have not gotten your level status from your instructor please contact the studio.

  • We allow pole students to take classes one skill level below their current assigned skill level. Priority will go to the members that are assigned the that class's skill level. All others may be put on a waiting list.

  • When booking a pole class that is a skill level lower then your current level, please book the day of to give those students at that class's skill level the opportunity to sign up first.

  • We encourage students to book in advanced to make sure that classes fill and to ensure a spot in those classes that book quickly.

Open Gym Reminders

Aerial Open Gym is for those practicing any of the aerial apparatuses; lyra, silks or hammock.

  • Silks open gym is for silks practice only.

  • Pole open gym is designated only for those practicing pole apparatus.

Make sure that you are in the assigned room for that open gym session. Follow all rules for the open gym.

GET ON THAT WAIT LIST!!

Never mind that class being full, be persistent and get on that wait list, this gives you the best chance at getting into that coveted pole or aerial class. Add yourself to any full class wait lists no later than 30 minutes prior to start of class, but remember there are only a few wait list spots so act fast. Star Flyer of the Month

Sara Flowers is not only a member of the Academy of Aerial Fitness, but a person that helps make our studio a family. She always puts in 100% whether we are conditioning, working pole technique or dancing it out. Not only is she ridiculously strong, but she is an amazing dancer. Sara always steps up to help with any events and shows as well as taking great pride in being a part of the academy. Not falling far from the tree, her daughter Khaleesi rocks the Lyra and puts her all into each move. It’s such a pleasure to have the entire family as part of our Academy community. So happy to give recognition to our first Star Flyer of 2022!!
